Operating Cycle
Cycle duration: 6–10 hours per batch
- 1Load base oil and heat in jacketed reactor to 180–220 °C
- 2Add lithium hydroxide and fatty acid
- 3High-shear mixing for saponification
- 4Add remaining base oil and additives
- 5Pass through colloid mill for homogenisation
- 6Cool to ambient temperature
- 7Fill into containers
