Vacuum / Baladi Mineral Oil Distillation Line
Standard batch vacuum distillation system for refining used mineral oils into base oil and gas oil, following the traditional high-reliability 'Baladi' engineering method.
Project Concept
Standard batch vacuum distillation (Baladi) for mineral oil re-refining.
Project Overview
Engineering Drawings & Blueprints
The 'Baladi' or traditional distillation system relies on simplicity and high reliability in oil refining. It is preferred by many factories for its ease of maintenance and low operating costs while maintaining high-quality output.
Main Components
Key equipment and units that make up the production line
Raw Storage Tank
Direct-Fire Batch Reactor
Water-Ring Vacuum Pump
Shell & Tube Condenser
Cooling Tower
Product Storage Tanks
Operating Cycle
Cycle duration: 8–14 hours per batch
- 1Load raw oil into the batch reactor
- 2Heat to 110 °C to remove moisture
- 3Increase temperature to 280–350 °C under vacuum
- 4Collect base oil and light fractions
- 5Discharge heavy residues after cooling
Input / Output Ratios
Approximate production yields at different capacities
| Capacity | Raw Input | Base Oil | Gas Oil | Residues |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 - 20 Tons / Batch | Crude / Used Oil | 85% - 90% | 8% - 10% | 2% - 5% |
